El Cacique - New Job Tier, New Loot; Mafia Wars Facebook Strategy Guide

New tier went live tonight in Mafia Wars: Cuba called "El Cacique." There are 8 new jobs available with two new loot drops. Here is a picture with all the jobs, their energy cost, and what items they require:

Couple of notable things:

New Items: the Canonazo (weapon) and the Track Loader (vehicle):

These are now the two best weapons in slot. The Canonazo, with 42 attack and 22 defense, has the same attack as TNT but with +2 defense, so nothing spectacular there. However, the Track Loader, with 37 attack and 32 defense, is a pretty nice item. Although the Track Loader is only 1 attack over the Hu-9 Helicopter, it does have a hefty extra 5 defense. With 69 total stat points, it is the best vehicle around.

Secondly, Consumable Costs:

The consumable costs on El Cacique are very high. The "Help Get An Associate A No Bid Contract" costs 8 politico corrupto, which in and of itself is pretty high. To make things worst, through the first tier, you only get 4% job mastery progress each time you do the job. In other words, 200 politico corruptos just to do the first tier. I am assuming it will drop to 3% and 2% for the final two tiers, making the grand total 872 Politico Corruptos needed to master the El Cacique tier. Wow!

Also, some New York items are needed to do this tier, including Untraceable Cell Phones, which I do not think is that big of a deal, because anyone who mastered the Boss tier should have plenty of extra phones from collecting all those blackmail photos.

Conclusion:

Lots of new stuff to do, and with 800+ politico corruptos most likely needed to finish off the tier and a new vehicle to collect, we should be busy for quite a while!

  2. Anyone know if we can get help with the jobs more often? Rather than 2 days? I seem to see more job postings. But clearly the exp. they give has been nerfed.

  3. I'm thinking the last new job is an indicator of things to come...Meet with "The Russian"...sounds like we'll be heading to Moscow next.

  4. I wonder what the mastery item is (if there is one)?

  10. i'm more sure there's gunna be moscow now. go to newyork noss tier and the last job. it says 'Travel to the Old Country'. which i think it means Cuba. and now the last job in cuba is "Meet with "The Russian". hmmmm.... interesting...

  11. 'Old country' sounds a lot like Italy to me. :)
Russia sounds interesting, but a bit cold.
There is a whole Asia to conquer, with lots of human trafficking and slavery jobs. I wonder if we ever get to see Thailand jobs like 'Escort a group of foreign gentlemen to the nearest school' or 'Help a friend finishing his sexchange'.
I wonder what would be a proper collection item for that tier? :D

  12. The second level of "help get an associate a no bid contract" is 3% job mastery per time you do the job. So, its 200 Politico Corruptos (you have to do the job 25 times) for level 1 and 272 Politico Corruptos (you have to do the job 34 times) for level 2. Still working on getting to level 3.

  13. I thought finishing New York was bad. The number of Politico Corrupto's needed to finisgh was UNREAL. 800 is an underestimate. I was too depressed to count the number needed to complete the level. :)

  14. Your leveling up guide - excellent! I can't help but snicker at the people building mafias of 10,000+ If only the best 501 used, why not just add a smaller number of strong mafia instead of thousands and thousands of useless ones from pimping. Life's too short for all that clicking.

  15. I would like to see China as the next place. Jobs like:

    Help counterfeit American goods
    Shut down the Democracy operation
    Kidnap the Japanese tourists

    ...and so on.

  16. its bound to be Russia - The developers specifically said that the jobs in the new tier would provide a hint "at the next expansion" so

  17. Russia does seem to be the apparent destination next. Wonder if there will be a travelling theme here? Next the Yakuza, Triad, then back to the originators, the Sicilian Mafia!

  18. Two *pant* more *pant* jobs *pant* in *etc* the Cuban Cacique tiers(tier three)! I'm 42% in the one that needs the politicos and 2% in the one with the UCPhones.

  19. Are the tier 3 jobs all 1% or are some 2%?

  22. Here we are Seot 4th, and I still haven't mastered El Cacique! My energy is only at 521, so for those of you that have much less energy, be prepared for this to take a long time to master! I remember seeing somewhere that a player had completed El Cacique 8 hours after it was released. WTF, I know there are some high level players, but 8 hours???!!! He even posted the screenschot to prove it. I'm almost half way thru level 3, but "send home help home to NY" job takes a ghastly amount of energy. It takes 56 energy for 1% (that's if you have max bonus). So to master this one job, it will take 5,600 energy! Seriously how did that guy finish in 8 hours? Anyone know how much energy is needed total to master all El Cacique levels? My guess would be anywhere from 60,000-80,000!

  23. hahah this guy funny at Energy count.
as long as you max all ur Skills point to Energy + Master Underboss
then you wont have any more waiting for Regen of Energy.
7 days master Boss. and i think that is too slow already.
    2 questions.
    Have you mastered Boss tiers?
    How did it take you?

  24. Does the strength of the indivdual members count during the fights?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I thought Labor Day loot was done, but I just got a bunch a few minutes ago (today is Tuesday Sept 8th) Was the time period extended?

    ReplyDelete
  26. i just got done looping 50 lvls trying to get Canonazos. I only got 6. Boy am I pissed.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yes one would presume that the strenght of your Mafia does play a role in fighting. If you are in Cuba and your entire Mafia is still in NY with less heavy attack equipment, I would say that you would lose.

  28. How do I get Federals Agents?

  29. from the 'Buy Off A Federal Agent' - Boss tier
