Selling Your Inventory in Moscow; Mafia Wars Strategy Guide

If you have been playing Moscow at all over the past couple of days, there is one thing that really stands out: you need a lot of Rubles to get through the content at a reasonable pace.

If you have a high level energy-based account like outlined in the Mafia Wars Leveling Guide, I would recommend selling as much of your inventory as you can when you finish the first two chapters. My original energy account is now done the content, and after selling my extra inventory (leaving just enough inventory to do a high-paying job), I ended up with around 45,000,000 Rubles.

That is a lot of cash.. and the second chapter is 2-3 times more expensive than the first. If trends continue, players will need millions of Rubles to get through the content. New York money was essentially worthless, money is somewhat tight in Cuba, and you simply need a lot of cash to get through Moscow, no way around it.

My educated guess is that Chapter 3 will not be available for two more weeks. So, to keep your bribes down, as soon as you finish the first 2 chapters, sell off all your inventory save a few pieces and start loading up on rubles. In the long run (i.e. over a week) you will have made your money back that you lost by only getting half price for your items. If you stock up 100,000,000 Rubles for Chapter 3 & 4 release, you will in great shape when they come out.

  1. Thank you so much for all this great information. At this point, have you come to a determination as to which side is the better one to join?

  3. If you require one tracksuit then the sell all strategy is a loser. You will probably need some dossier on dmitry somewhere down the line. A track suit costs $900,000 so selling it would give you 450,000. Put it in the bank and lose another 10% or 45,000. So you have access to 405,000 which is too a big risk to take. Your mileage may vary...

  4. @the first poster, just look at the navigation bar on vory vs mafiya

    @3rd poster

Like I said, it's only if you have an energy account. For example, I was paying about 50% bribes by the time I finished up all the jobs. I sold about 80,000,000 worth of equipment (it took me what, 3-4 days to earn 80 million?) for 40,00,000 rubles. Now i'm paying 40% less bribes, so by the time I earn 120,000,000 or so, I'll have made my money back plus some (which should take less than a week based on the rate I've been earning).

And since episode 3 isn't likely to come out for two weeks or more, I estimate I'll make an extra 80,000,000 or so by selling my equipment (even though I will ultimately rebuy it)

  5. How does the new Moscow levels and loot fit into your ebook Strategy Guide? Does it affect the leveling paths, or anything else for that matter?

    Can we get updates?

  7. I just attack people for money. I have 150 stamina, so I just go down the list until I see someone with a lot of rubles that didn't put it in the bank. Max you can earn per attack is $65k, so I try people until I find someone that drops at least ~$30k, then hit them over and over until icing/killing them (or drying up their rubles), then I continue. For 150 stamina, the whole process only takes about 15 minutes, and I usually end up with $2 to $3 million. I haven't even started Moscow jobs yet (I'm still finishing up Cuba) but I already have $45 million rubles just from attacking.

  9. I have $96 million from collecting from businesses each day and asking for help for the 2nd boss fight. No need to use energy or stamina, unless Moscow is the place you prefer to play.

  14. Anonymous, your strategy is working for you because you haven't (hadn't) finished Cuba yet, and you have a lot of Stamina. My Stamina is only at 49, but I was in a similar situation as you when Cuba came out, because I was still finishing NY, so I maxed out the Cuban businesses and just watched the money roll in until I needed it. But I finished Cuba ages ago, and I'm at a point where I'm doing Moscow jobs over and over just to make enough rubles to continue, so something even approaching the original poster's strategy is a much better solution for me.

  15. If any of you ever wondered how to get up to level 1000 in the space of a few wks i can help. Some here may be masters at it but i am willing to sell you a guide that i typesetted myself into a pdf.
I am currently at level 736 after only playing for around 2hrs per day over the last 2wks. In the process i have collected over 2000 guerrilla squads from repeating the havana job in cuba.
This guide imo is fairly priceless if you wanna get really good at mafia wars. mail me tmcg01 at gmail com if you wish to buy the guide. Will sell for $7. This may sound odd and untrustworthy to you but all you need to do is email me. we can add each other in facebook and you can then see my level and stats. All achievements i have completed, 41/52 i think, have all been completed within the last 2 wks.
Anyway apologies for spamming but i feel this guide needs to be sold. n i need money for xmas ;)
$7 for priceless info? Come on, you know its worth it. This site has some of what u need to know but i have dumbed it all down for the less articulate players. This is great offer ppl.
