Starting Friday at Midnight (PT), we will have another holiday limited edition loot weekend for Mafia Wars, this time for Halloween. Items will be related to Halloween but also themed around other Zynga games, so we can expect FarmVille, Cafe World, and other similar items.
Based on previous trends, these items are likely to randomly drop from jobs and total 8 in the set.
I also suspect that by "Midnight" this means that items will not start dropping until late Friday night (rather than early Friday morning).According to the
Mafia Wars Twitter page, these items will now start dropping Friday morning at 12:01 AM due to popular demand. This gives us an extra 24 hours to collect items!

You didn't post this suggestions here but you have in the past. Remember the best way to get these items (which if they're anything like 4th of July will be awesome) is to simply repeat the Mugging job in New York over and over and over again until you get everything.
Ya.. I think they buffed the drop rates on these though. I don't know about you but for the recent weekends I had no trouble collecting a full set without even trying.
That's be sweet if we could get the Halloween drops from low level NY jobs. I would have mugged that entire tiger weekend if I had know about that trick. =P

When I log into Mafia Wars, I get offered a limited time job (rob a candy truck, 91 energy, 182 exp), ends Nov. 4. Is this a Hallowe'en thing?
yes. and exp/energy ratio is fixed to 2. Also, it depends on your level, but I'm not exactly sure how it is. Also, you can only do this job once a day, so they better have buffed the drop rates.
it gives you a crappy loot though (treat bag, 18 atk, 15 def)
i just did the mugging job about 40 times...not one halloween drop. Got several cards though
of course, if i read the flippin rules, i would have seen it hasn't started yet!
there's also a mastery reward (just 1 level I guess) but no one knows since you can only do this once a day! it's 25% so at least 4 days until we know the ultimate mastery reward
I just got sent a treat bag from a friend, so it's from the limited time job? Weird how she sent it to me then.

I found that fighting got more loot drops on special weekends.
The thing you get from mastering the job is the candy truck. 25 attack 35 defence if i remember correctly.
i just hit mugging over 200 times, got already 6 out of 8 halloween loots:
bloody poker chips : 22 - 10
Fake vampire teeth: 34 - 15
Laser squirl: 43 - 12
Monkey brain stew: 2 - 27
Yozombie: 21 - 18
Lonely plague cow: 25 - 15
There is an item called Dead End in vehicle catagory 32-20
The statistic is not amazing like the previuos one. Just hit mugging ver 200 times and still only get 3 out of 8. I received more than 10 Monkey brain stew...huh...

I got the Kraken doing the mugging job. I've received 7 of the 8 items so far...all from mugging.

i started doing the jobs today and have done mugging 400+ times and got 7 which is annoying and yes mugging is te first job you can do. Does anyone know if you get an item for getting all eight items like you did with the russian items.
Anyone know if there is a limit on the # of loot items you can acquire? I've got 31 and things have slowwwwwwwed down/stopped for me.
Does doing a 1 energy job (mugging) give you the same odds of getting a Halloween item as doing a 10 or 20 energy job? Or does doing a 20 energy job give you a 20 times better chance of getting an item?
so far it seems that it's the same probability to find an item doing any job, regardless of energy usage. Thus mugging gives you way better chances of obtaining the loot items! which I think is stupid, Zynga should either let everyone know, or adjust the probabilities

I have found that the Rough up the dealers job in Associate tier give me the best special loot.. maybe it is because they have a chance to loot. I have only used 97 exp so far and have 7 of 8
I mugged half an hour and burned about 1500 energy points and collected all 8 of them. Sweet.
I don't know how, but I encountered some kind of glitch yesterday and was able to rob the truck until my energy ran out. For me this was good, because I am a newer player and have a tiny mafia which prohibits me from buying anything good, thus those loot items gave me a huge boost.

I got one item through doing a random job and another from a attacking somebody, but have yet to get one from mugging.

Yeah, I thought Zynga had pulled something away from me, but same thing happened to me (bloody poker chips turned into Frankenstein hand poker chips). I guess the only thing I'm missing is the laser squirrel - plus the candy truck. I think I got everything from the mugging job in New York.
I'm willing to trade any or all of the Halloween Loot items but the Kraken for a Laser Squirrel. Thanks!
I have spent 1300 energy on the mugging job and still only have 6 items. And the last 342 energy I spent on the job didn't give me any loot at all.
Ive done the mugging job 3500 times, and just cant get the kraken...
You get the Candy Truck after you complete the specal halloween jobs. I got it yesterday.
I need Bodyguards and have been doing the "protect your family against a rival family job" for a week straight and can't get a bodyguard? I am a lever 3 tier master and still dont have 1 bodyguard? i'm i doing something wrong or just keep trying??? please help add me to follow up benny.blanco805@gmail.com
Has anyone found out if there is a reward item for completing the 8/8 halloween loot items?
I don't thing there's anything for getting all 8. I have them all and got nothing. I've got a total of 35 items, but nothing in the last 500 jobs (all muggings), so I think there is a limit of 35 items, although I could be wrong.

Anyone figured out if they have limits set? Ihave all 8 items, but stopped getting drops at 32 total items. I've gone through probalby 1000 muggings and not single drop.

This was posted on Mafia Wars page yesterday eve - this is why no one was getting loot - Halloween Loot Event was accidentally turned off and NOW is turned back on! To make it up to you, we will be extending the promotion till Tuesday at 11:59pm (PT).
I keep doing the muggings, because after an entire weekend of play, I have looted only FOUR of the halloween items (not including the candy truck, treat bags, giftables etc.) I am on the beta (rackets) version? Anyone else with this issue? GRRR!!!!!
I was able to grab all of the Halloween loot pretty quickly and only spent about 200 points. Not bad
