Just like with all loot events, you can collect these items quickly by doing the 1 energy job in the Street Thug tier over and over again.
Edit: Many many jobs and an energy pack later, I ended up getting my 33rd item (which was the last one I needed). So, as far as I can tell, there is no limit to the amount of items you can get during the Thanksgiving Food Fight event. However, the drop rates seem to get significantly lower after your 30th item.
As far as item quality, there are no "must have" items, but the Gravy Boat and Food Coma are at least decent. They also seem to be the rarest.
Additionally, even if you already have everything, you can get 2 free reward points associated with the event. Every time you get an item you can publish it for your friends to get 2 free reward points.
There seems to be a cap of 10 reward points. I will try to collect again tomorrow and see what happens!

Took me about 25-30 minutes and 1000 energy to have them all, I can go to work now :D
44 pea shooters and one cooked g means total 45 nos...so guess theres no 32 limit cap...

i can only collect reward points once per mafia member.. :(
BUT, at least we still get free reward points!! :D
I'm skeptical as to whether there really is a cap on these special items. It seems when I do this, my odds of getting the next item decrease with each item I get. I get a lot in the beginning and very few at the end. I think that your odds just go down to the point that getting the 32nd item is very unlikely. I do, afterall, have 33 tiger items.
I have 32 atm, atleast i collected all and get some extra stronger items like the food coma
I have more than 40 now, i think there is no cap. Yet,i have hard time finding the 33rd item.
I don't get the reward point. aim i doing smth wrong? I click on it when frends post them but nothing

I had 7/8 until I finally reached my final item, the Gravy Boat.
I'm at 32 items right now, but stopped since I have all 8...and ran out of energy. lol
I'll see if I can find more in a few hours, since other people have over 32.
Ended up getting item #33 which was the last one I needed. Drop rate just seems to slow way down post 30.

my first loot item was the food coma b4 i even realized there was another loot drop event...love the free reward points thing i hope zynga does this from now on :)

49 food fight item 'till now, but it seems this is the cap. 450 fights and not a single collection item... what is your number of collected items, tell us :)
I think I'm in the mid 40s.. I stopped doing the Mugging job and went back to collecting Moscow items once I collected the full set.
49 for me too... when i counted them yesterday
37 collected, using under around 300 energy total, not counting fights. Also barely had to use the mugging job...first time I got the full collection too, so thats pretty sick.
