Right now, Mafia Wars Bangkok beta has two episodes released (just like with Moscow) and it looks like there is plans for 6 total episodes. The first two episodes are Brawler and Criminal. I'm glad they stayed away from the fancy words like "Pakhan" this time - it was hard to remember them all to type up!
There are a few key differences - the major ones being the introduction of a faction bar and more separation in jobs. In Mafia Wars Bangkok, you get faction points for helping out one side over the other. If you accumulate enough faction points, you will be able to buy unique rewards only available to that faction. I will put more detail into that in a later post.
There are also quite a few new businesses. Check them out:
The unique change to businesses this time is that the Gun Running Operation requires Yakuza faction to unlock and produces Black Market Ammo (which I believe to be a +attack boost). The Yaa Baa Parlor requires Triad faction to unlock and produces Hyper Alert Sentry (which I believe is a +robbing defense boost, and robbing is being added back into the game some time soon).More info to come!

Also got the passport for beta. Observations so far:
- the fighting in Bangkok is not yet operational so for now my baht is safe with having to bank it (losing 10%)
- I lost my ability to get the mini energy boost. I installed and uninstalled the MW toolbar and was still able to get the mini boost with the help of a poster on this board. Anyone experience the same problem?
MWG did you get an invite/passport? Any observation(s) from other players?
Update re: mini-boost. Nevermind, apparently the ability to get a mini-boost without having the tool bar installed was a bug that has been corrected.
I have the toolbar installed and I can't get the mini-boost.
I tried uninstall and reinstall, and still no luck.
I play from multiple computers and only have toolbar installed on one of them, maybe it is related to that?
Welp, none for me. I'm just gonna chill, then. lol.
I can't seem to send the invites to Bangkok to anyone..it keeps coming up with "error on page". is there another way I can send these invite??

Same boat lost my mini energy buff. Sucks
My farm account got a passport and 3 others, sent one to my main.
I can't collect my mini energy buff from my toolbar. I am also NOT selected for Bangkok beta. So I don't think the two are related. I think activating Bangkok affected everyone's toolbars, or at least a good portion of the players on certain servers.

25% energy boost from toolbar seems to be fixed.
If you hover over the hyper alert sentry in the faction store a pop up says it is a +32 defense boost.

Vaulted masks- Plus 5 defense skill
seems it takes a lot of money another attempt to make us buy GF points, which I did, LOL

What I don't understand is that if even if you have collected everything, you may not be able to get in. It seems that there is also a level requirement, which might be Lvl 200, as I am lvl 196.
I'm in Bangkok but I can't find the passports to send to my friends. Where are the passports once you get in Bangkok?
i can get a passport to bangkok for anyone my friend has one but is lookin for 50 zolo sports cars for one! ad my my face book is on the comment thing
Re: the question posted as to not being able to send a passport and receiving an error message: the person you are sending to has to have settings set so that friends can post on their wall. Have who you are trying to send this to check this. It should work.
A side note to those looking for their 3 passports to send once they receive one- not everyone gets 3 passports. In fact many do not, so if you cannot find them, most likely you did not get them to send. I have corresponded with Zynga on this.
i keep doing the NYC job but cannot get the coin to complete the requirements to enter bangkok..

Lucky you cannot get the coin only! I cannot get ANYTHING required for bangkok! I even have the passport but I still can't find anything! :D I've lost about 1000 energy on this!
