New Chop Shop Levels and Cars

The Chop Shop is now upgradeable to level 12 and several new cars have been added! First, there are a few new mid-level cars, the Sirroco 9-Z (48 car parts; 46 attack, 15 defense) and the Andresen 420si (68 car parts; 41 attack, 43 defense):

Additionally, there are 2 new high-end cars that come along with levels 11 and 12:

The Mugati Sport (35 attack, 51 defense, and +3 to your total max defense skill) costs 135 car parts and 1 "High Tech Car Part", which is a brand new piece. The Hunter 'Spy' XS (52 attack, 29 defense, and +3 to your total max attack skill) costs 155 car parts and 2 high tech car parts.

It's a bit of a toss-up on which car to pick now! On one hand, the two new cars, at only providing +3 stats (compared to the +5 energy or stamina cars), may seem a bit weaker. However, with 51 defense and 52 attack on each of these cars respectively, these pieces are also very strong. Since robbing small properties weighs heavily on your most powerful items, if you end up robbing a lot, you may want to beef up your stats by picking some of these new cars up.

High-tech car parts a new rare drop that drops randomly from any job, apparently in any city.

  7. "Since robbing small properties weighs heavily on your most powerful items". This is not true, because robbing small properties weighs heavily on the attack skill (using skill points) or defense skill on the other side. Considering 2 people robbering, it doesnt matter whether you have a 53 attack car or a 20 attack car, when the other guy you want to rob has 2000 defense skill!

  13. I just opened some treasure chests and the loot has changed from the cool supercharged vehicles to things like: chariot, galea, pinstripe suit, prison stripes, knuckle trimmer, etc. Kind of a let down. But it was nice to get my mitts on a few more chariots. I wonder if the gift house has changed their gifts overnight too......

  16. @ anonymous 2.34. They may not use names of cars that already exist. You have to pay money for that :-p That's why.

  17. is that why the humvee that drops in underboss its name was changed a while ago to multi purpose vehicle???anon@4:07

  18. @8:46 anon - yes it does. Let's say you are robbing the restaurant, which lets you use 35 vehicles, and you have 35 of these 51 attack vehicles (doable in 5 weeks without trading), while your enemy is using 35 armored state cars (42 defense). You now have a 315 point advantage over an opponent on vehicles alone in a category where the average person ends up with 3000 defense or so (10% advantage).

It's good on bigger properties too, but you need a lot more cars to make a difference - no one (well, nearly no one) will end up with 500 of these cars.. so it's a non factor for casinos

  19. no MWG @4.36 mayb u are wrong,i have 22 mugati sports car right now, which means i will get 501 cars in about 23 days. However i can make it possible in less than 20 days. Would you like to trade the secrets in ur compendium with me? sad..dont have chance to buy your book ><

  20. @anon 4:55. i guess you're spending all your free time doing virtual farming in dozens of accounts, huh? either that or you trying to scam mwg out of his compendium (which is lame, and also won't work).

  21. BTW - you can build two cars per day from the chop shop. The trick is to not collect your parts, but first build the car. Then collect the parts and it will let you build another car.

  24. FINALLY, MY MEGA CASINO IS LEVEL 6000

  25. Not True SensorG.
You can only build one car a day. i have more than enough parts to make more than 1 car and it only lets you build 1 car.

    ReplyDelete
  26. @MWG you should edit the Best Equipment post, with this 2 new cars, there are new best vehicles... ;)

  27. You can build two cars. Just don't collect. After you collect the parts, you can build again. Give it a try, it works.

    ReplyDelete
  28. whoever said u can build twice it works u build then collect ur car parts then build again i just build 2 rebels now

  29. You can get car parts by robbing a weak player. Even if the player doesn't have the chop shop ready to collect you still get the car part so you are limited only by your stamina. My old fight-victim account even got chop shop for free when it was converted to properties, so it's a robbing-victim now too :]

  30. It doesn't work anymore. They fixed it so that when you build a car it automatically collects your car parts if you haven't already.

Anyone know of a decent way to acquire High Tech car parts? I've gotten one or two from mystery bags, but that's pretty unreliable. I've done the 1 energy job almost 10000 times and gotten a grand total of 1 HT part.

The drop rate seems to be better on higher energy jobs. I was farming money from the Visiting Don job for achievements and saw one drop within 5000 energy or so. I wonder if that drop rate is tied to energy spent rather than jobs performed. Maybe it drops even better on the high energy jobs in bangkok. I'll have to play with that.

  31. 100% confirmed: High Tech parts drop WAY more often on the "visting don" job than on the 1 energy street thug job.

Either that or they have just today massively increased the drop rate. I had two in my inventory and then I ran through about 3 or 4 levels worth of the Visiting Don job and now I have 10.

Either they adjusted those low energy jobs to have a lower drop rate to prevent farming (though car parts and chop shop equipment drops at the same rate as other jobs) or they've keyed its drop rate to energy expenditure rather than number of jobs performed.

Same seems to be true of the Solar Panels and Bulletproof glass...ultra rare (like 1 in 10000) drop on a low energy job. Rare (1 in 100 ish) on a higher energy job.

I haven't confirmed whether Bangkok super high energy jobs do any better, but I ran through 5000+ energy farming Tantos and didn't get one.

  32. I didn't notice it until after I'd bought two of them (the buying 2 in one day trick is working for me again now)...but they've not flip-flopped the car bonuses. now the Mugati is +3 attack and the Hunter is +3 defense
