Must Play Weekend Update

Just a quick update about the Mafia Wars Must-Play Weekend - players now get double mastery for doing jobs in Bangkok other cities. Double loot is also now dropping from fights.

I haven't mentioned it yet, but you can get a "Rack of Vegas Poker Chips" as a free gift from friends. Supposedly those with the most Racks of Vegas Poker Chips will get access to the Mafia Wars Las Vegas beta, and then the items will turn into currency, but given historical trends, there is just no telling what they might be used for.

Also, I saw a notice on one of the must-play weekend pop-ups that next weekend there will also be some sort of event. We will have to wait and see!

  1. Actually the bit about them getting you into beta was on one of the official pop-ups that talked about the chips in the game itself. I got a pop up notice and it said exactly that, that collecting enough of them now can earn you access to NV beta and when NV is launched they will be converted to NV currency. Wish I had screenshotted it now...

  3. The HEL drops from fighting seem to be better now than they were yesterday or earlier today. I just ran off a few hundred stamina fighting, and I'm guessing I got a pair of HEL at least 5% of the time. While it's not "awesome" or "must play", getting a 40+ piece of HEL for every 10 stamina is a heck of a lot better than I (and everyone else I've read) was seeing earlier in the "Must Play Weekend".

My most consistent results have been in Moscow, but I'm getting drops in all four cities.

  5. I just got something called a "Classified Report" from a job as loot but I don't see it under my loot. Can anyone tell me what it does?

  6. Classified Report is from the 'Theft of a Drone' collection

  7. To the previous Anon:
The classified report can be found under the ''Collections and Vault'' tab. It's one of the items required to vault the ''Theft of a Drone'' crew collection.

  10. okay, I'm a level 205 player, every time I level up, the energy figure is highlighted in yellow other than the rest. Any reason why? Is this the same for all?

  11. I think its Zynga telling you that, "Hey, your energy is too high compared with the rest of the stats. Please buy more skill points / Reward Points and top up the rest"

  12. I know it is a recurring issue, but my Attack Strength dropped from 25,000 (Monday) to 24,000 (Tuesday) to 23,764 today. Defense Strength is even worse, it dropped from 24,000 to 20,000. Needless to say i gave no HEL away...

  15. I don't want to spoil your hopes, but there is no way you can be a successfull fighter without 500 mafia.

In your case, even if you had all the best equipment (which drops from fighting anyway), some small fighter with 500 mafia and NY equipment would beat you... I sugest you add friends in one of the many add me threads or, if you don't want to do that in your personal account, start a new one with an alias just for MW.

It may seem a waste of your already developed account, but you'll reach the same power in no time.

  16. Yeah, Anon above couldn't have said it better. The attack ability relies on your loot and your attack stats, but more importantly it relies on mafia member size.

Basically, you'll probably be able to defeat people with less mafia members than you and you'll lose to people with more....
