Five Gold Treasure Chests Opened...

A couple weeks ago, I posted the results as I opened four Gold Treasure Chests.

Having come across five more Golden Keys since then, I thought I'd take another run at finding something useful.

Judge for yourself...

*CHEST #1*

*CHEST #2*

*CHEST #3*

*CHEST #4*

*CHEST #5*

Unfortunately, none of these items make my top 501.

With Fight Loot items' stats in the mid 70s, and Fight Club items' stats in the low 70s - as well as numerous Job Loot items' stats in the 70s from Italy's Citta Del Vaticano and The Eternal City, it's REALLY time to stop blogging about the garbage in Treasure Chests upgrade the Treasure Chest Loot.

By the way, has anyone gotten a Silver Treasure Chest Key recently??  If not, I'm not sure what to do with these 134 items...

  1. Man, those items would add somewhere around 20 to 10 points either to my attack or to my defense and I've been playing for more than a year...

  2. I haven't had a silver key drop - ever. Level 2000+ and nary a one.

  3. cut zynga some slack! if youre releasing new content everyday, its hard to keep track and update the old content.

  4. Cant find a recent fight post so I'm putting these comments here.

Just a few comments on the recent nerf to the drop rates of high end loot in fighting, i.e. stuff like the Venomous vehicle. Well, although this is frustrating I reckon overall fighting is still the best option to earn loot.

Some very, very rough and ready maths. I've been using all my energy to do jobs in Italy and farm loot. Using 9,000 energy points I average about an increase of 10 points on both att and def for each 9,000 used.

Now, et's compare this to the increase you get from fighting. Although I have never used a full 9,000 stamina on fighting I reckon I have come up with some kind of comparison.

On average I get a 60+ stats item every 200 stamina points used (on the presumption all fights are won). For the top end loot (i.e. stuff with stats in the 70s) I get one for approximately every 300 stamina points spent.

Working on my account for the top end loot each item accounts for approx an increase of 15 on my existing stats. So doing some maths if i spent the equivalent of 9,000 stamina points how much would my stats increase? Roughly (and I said the maths were rough!) you would be looking at an increase of 225 in both att and def which when compared to the 10 increase from doing jobs is pretty darned impressive.

It should also be noted that my estimate of 300 stamina points for each high end item is pretty conservative, there does seem to be some variation, this morning it is more like a 100 stamina points, so it could be even better.

Why is this important? Well I have att points of 130,000 which used to be enough to beat people with a lot higher defence points (in the 140k range) due to my high attack value. But I have noticed in the last week or two that I am coming up against people with defence points of well over 150,000 and even though my attack value is higher than their defence value (obviously I cant see by how much) I am still losing. Previously this was a very rare occurence.

So I need to keep adding to attack and defence points each time I level up, but it is important to keep those big numbers going up, 130,000 just doesnt cut it any more:(

One final point, the more you fight the more you can pick up items in the fight club. Keep back 400 vps for your free energy pack but then you cna spend as much as you like on the items in the shop. I think the rifle that costs 300 vps is good value. I know it only has a 70 att value, but still worth it as it costs a lot less than other items in there.

One final, final point, go to the tournaments a couple of times a day. Thos Las Vegas tournaments are worth the gamble as if you win a heavyweight tournament you can quickly grab some victory points.

Hope this helps some people, i just wanted to initiate a bit of a fighting discussion to see what tips I can pick up from other people.

  5. So what's this I hear about Cuba ending? I'm very surprised you haven't posted anything on here about that.

  6. @Bonners:
Excellent post, I've definitely seen the value of stam over energy that you are talking about. My only problem with it is that it can take _forever_ to spend so much stamina, even with Brawler, although I'm not beefed enough to hit 501s and consistently win so maybe that's some of it.

Thank you for adding some value to the posts here. Recently there has been nothing or -g-a-r-b-a-g-e- posts on chests? Chris makes a good point, we haven't seen any posts of worth from the author in quite some time. I'd like to see a lot more posts like Bonners'. Not to terribly slight our host but I just feel like the author could kind of care less.

  8. Looks like our favourite blog is coming to an end..no stories on ancient relics and no stories on cuban crisis.. =(

  9. i really wouldve liked to get some info on the cuba crisis. even thogh most of the stuff is reltively self-explanatory, ive always appreciated systematic info on these things.

and i have noticed a nerf to fight loot, the drop rates have increased alot. especially for the latest generation of fhel! the best way to stock up on good loot atm.

  10. Adding onto the lack of Cuba info. I don't seem to be getting any prop 4s dropping the last two days. I have 50 and it is a pretty good loot. Is anyone else still getting these? Does anyone have more than 50?

  11. At anon@

As far as I could work out 50 was the maximum, could be wrong though

  12. I ended up with 61 of the Prop 4's.

  14. First Cuba and now moscow, if neo-imperium touches bangkok, zynga's "docks would be raided"

    ReplyDelete
  15. Bangkok probably is next. There was a message implying so when I finished the Moscow Mission today. I took a screen shot of it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. So they're shutting down cities, and we're gonna lose our useless bank account too I guess. Better spend baht on those faction store tigers in Bangkok.

    ReplyDelete
  17. any possibilities that neo-imperium somehow goes and we all get it back?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Anyone else get a cuba mission?? There is no way to do anything in cuba so now I am out a mission slot.

  21. Phil!! what happened with you and this blog?? :( it was my only guide for playing MW and i really miss it. As it seems old cities are closing down, i dnt care i finished them long time ago and im very happy that Brazil comes live. I think that Zynga realized how new players dnt play old cities at all just finish New York and jump on Vegas and Italy, what is to be expected as good loot is all there, Bangkok doesnt mean anything anymore and how was hard to finish it (baht prob). And i saw that dropping rate in Italy is so poor . Now for a month im done with all cities and new Italy and Atlanta so i just spend my energy in Italy region 8 and for 10000 energy per day i keep getting maybe 5-6 loot, but what to do with all that energy anyway. with fighting im satisfied. so at one moment i was afraid that MW after Italy will be closing but now i see game goes on...ok would like so that u come back, this blog was aw sum Natasha

  23. I got all my mafia wars info from this blog. I am sad to see it coming to an end. I still check it every day hoping.....

  24. colin gave it to phil, phil please give it someone else...

  25. Phil, the least you could do is tell us this blog is finished. Have some manners.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Maybe Phil's wife said enough is enough! Now that Brazil is out, my fight win percent has dropped significantly for some reason. I had it at the same settings but I'm losing 25% of my fights? Loot was amazing but crap for xp. Brazil rob boards were all easy for my first day now they are all medium, so that's gone, I did get 2 Diamonds (both dupes). I'm curious to see how much gate loot there is, I got a ton of gas cans first level just in case. Cash never seems short, properties aren't crazy, cool that they use old materials for the upgrades (well some of them for it). Job format looks like the 1st page of NY how they changed it a while back. RIP MWGuide.
